CareStar, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Software Developer in the CSIS Department to create dynamic custom healthcare applications. This individual will lead a collaborative development team to create high quality software within stated deadlines, work with business and product owners to understand the business value and priorities, and produce software that creates value for the customer.

THE POSITION

CareStar is looking for motivated individuals who/to:Collaborates with CareStar staff to analyze information, workflow needs, and identifies areas of opportunity for improvement and actively works to create a solution.Work with Senior Business Analyst to execute weekly development stand up meeting.Manage developers to ensure work schedule is completed on-time.Actively participates and significantly contributes in Agile/Scrum processes.Troubleshoot and determine root cause of production shortfalls.Develops and maintains written processes.Ensures all releases, sprints, scopes, contracts and projects are fully documented and executed, as appropriate.Identifies, screens and oversees contract developers ensuring high quality and on-time software is delivered.Ensures software is developed and maintained consistent with all requirements, contracts and industry standards.Evaluate quality of development work product metric review and analysis.Write, or assist with writing, responses to proposal requests.Develop and execute, or assist with the execution of, presentations to current and potential customers.Converts business requirements into software with guidance from CSIS staff.Maintains software, making improvements when required, that meet CareStar and CareStar Information System's business needs and objectives.Serves on work groups, committees, or other task forces and attends meetings as requested.Performs other duties as assigned.Adheres to the CareStar Rule in performance of job responsibilities.Understands and complies with CareStar Policies and Procedures.Maintains confidentiality as related to patient information. Any disclosures of confidential information made unlawfully outside the proper course of duty will be treated as a serious disciplinary offense.Follows the Acceptable Use Policy while using any information systems owned or controlled by CareStar, Inc.QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in a computer or related field or equivalent professional experience.Minimum ten (10) years professional development experience preferred.Experience working with SAAS applications, an Agile/Scrum team, back-end frameworks and front-end frameworks.Development and consumption of RESTful API services.Effective organizational skills, including prioritizing projects.Strong working knowledge in some or all these areas:Rails developer with Vue experience.Or in lieu of Vue experience, experience with React or Angular and be willing and able to learn Vue quickly.Familiar with using Docker for development.Familiar with RSpec testing.Comfortable working with Linux desktop development environment.Paired Programming.Ability to work independently.A firm grasp of computer science fundamentals including, but not limited to, object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design and problem solving.Practical experience with website software platforms, frameworks, development tools, methodologies and best practices.Scrum Master or other IT certifications a plus.Possesses critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with suite of Microsoft Office programs.Valid driver's license and car insurance as required by State law.THE LOCATION
