Technical Lead Kubernetes Platform

We are seeking a Technical Lead to drive our Kubernetes Platform effort in Tampa, FL.
You will architect, deploy, and manage a Kubernetes-based infrastructure across diverse environments, from edge sensors to enterprise clouds. Leading a team of engineers, you will ensure the successful delivery of the Kubernetes Platform and facilitate seamless integration of tenant applications.This position requires a combination of technical expertise and effective communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and ensure smooth tenant integration.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead a team in developing and integrating tenants into an on-premises Kubernetes Platform.• Develop comprehensive execution plans for the Platform team, encompassing requirements, target architecture, implementation roadmap, and verification procedures.• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of the plans.• Collaborate with tenants to understand their application requirements and design Kubernetes solutions that meet their needs.• Provide guidance and training to tenants on best practices for Kubernetes usage.• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes and containerized applications.• Monitor and optimize Kubernetes clusters for performance, scalability, and reliability.• Implement security best practices to ensure the integrity of the Kubernetes environment.• Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in Kubernetes and containerization.• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.• Previous experience in a technical leadership role.• Excellent leadership and communication skills.• Proficiency in project management methodologies and creating execution plans.• Experience designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments.• Strong knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.• Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Python, or Bash.• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitLabCI).• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working closely with stakeholders.• Active SECRET Clearance (required).HIGHLY DESIRED
• Master’s degree in engineering or a related field• Kubernetes certification (e.g., CKA, CKAD, CKS).• Experience with RKE2 and Kubernetes ecosystem tools like Helm, Istio, ArgoCD, FluxCD, Prometheus, or Rancher.• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).• Previous experience in a customer-facing or consulting role.• Active TS/SCI security clearance (US citizenship required)RELOCATION PROVIDED along with industry best benefits including a 25% Profit Sharing Plan contribution.
