This recruitment will be used to fill current vacancies for the position and may be used to fill future vacancies in the same classification/function. The resulting eligible list will be maintained for one year.GRADE12LOCATION OF POSITION580 Taylor Ave, Annapolis, MD 21401 (Anne Arundel County)Main Purpose of JobThis position supervises the daily mailroom operations for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and assists the Manager of Supportive Services with all daily services and operations of the Department’s pool vehicle system. This position may provide backup to the Supportive Services unit employees (direct reports). This position is also responsible for coordinating with the Licensing and Registration Service (LRS) unit in obtaining titles for DNR boats and renewing all DNR boat registrations to obtain the boat registration stickers. This position supports the mission of DNR by ensuring prompt execution of written communications and package deliveries and the availability for DNR staff to use safe fleet vehicles.POSITION DUTIESThe Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Finance and Administrative Services, 580 Taylor Avenue, B-4, Annapolis, MD 21401, is currently accepting applications for a Services Supervisor III. This position supervises the daily mailroom operations for DNR and assists the Manager of Supportive Services and Fleet Operations with all daily services and operations of the Department’s pool vehicle system. Work may also include data entry and coordinating with the DNR Licensing and Registration Services unit in renewing DNR boat registrations and obtaining boat registration stickers.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation:

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.Experience:

Three years of supervisory experience in general services functions, office administration activities or in the receiving, storing, issuance, purchase or requisition of equipment, materials, and parts and supplies.Notes:Candidates may substitute additional experience in general services functions, office administration activities or in the receiving, storing, issuance, purchase or requisition of equipment, materials, and parts and supplies on a year-for-year basis for the required education.Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience at a rank of Corporal/Petty Officer or higher as a non-commissioned officer in logistics specialist classifications or administrative support specialty codes in the logistics field of work, on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in customer service, using email and virtual meetings on a personal computer, Microsoft Office Suite, and mailroom, fleet or other inventory or management software. Experience evaluating vehicles to determine what routine maintenance is needed and working with vendors to repair items that need to be fixed by mechanics or having the ability to repair the items themselves.LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONSEmployees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle.
