The Director of Benefits and Employee Services is a key strategic role responsible for leading the benefits and employee services teams, requiring strong expertise in benefits management and HR compliance. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, knowledgeable leader skilled in HR laws and capable of designing innovative benefits programs to attract and retain top talent. This position calls for a visionary who can integrate strategy and compliance effectively.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGLead and develop the benefits team to design, implement, and manage comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, life insurance, disability insurance, and wellness programs.Direct the employee services team, ensuring all HR practices are compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.Manage relationships with benefits vendors and third-party administrators to ensure effective service delivery and alignment with organizational goals.Strategize to enhance benefits offerings that meet employee needs and support the company’s objectives.Oversee the compliance aspects of human resources within the employee services team, focusing on EEO, ADA, FMLA, ACA, and other regulations.Coordinate with HR and legal departments to ensure ongoing compliance with labor laws and regulations.Develop and implement policies and procedures that improve employee satisfaction and overall productivity.Provide visionary leadership to both teams, setting clear objectives, evaluating workflow, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Utilize data analytics to assess the effectiveness of benefits programs and make informed decisions for adjustments or enhancements.Prepare and manage the annual benefits budget, and forecast costs effectively, maintaining fiscal responsibility.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.5+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on compliance and benefits, with 3+ years in a leadership role.In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations (e.g., ACA, FMLA, ERISA, HIPAA).Proven ability to develop and implement HR policies and benefits programs.Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing effective teams.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to strategically analyze data and create actionable plans.Certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is highly desirable.BENEFITSCompetitive base salaryTeam based profit sharing program401K for all employees with 3.5% company matchMedical, dental, and vision coveragePaid Time Off Policy + 9 corporate holidays
