Design transportation related SOPs related to internal and 3PL processes for shipping/receiving/warehousing/inventory and related activities.Supervise a team responsible for managing logistics processes involving booking, track/trace, import/export commercial invoices/packing lists and related logistics.Define processes to accurately track and manage milestone activity with various freight forwarders and 3PL service providers.Collaborate with others to create mechanisms to support SAP data migration and integration.Ensure operational metrics related to just-in-time and next flight out urgent shipments in a global logistics environment are maintained.Manage exceptions and escalation/notification processes to support Kuiper transportation supported business teams.Create visibility tools to define processes and execute weekly business reviews with stakeholders, while providing performance feedback to internal and external customers.Expeditiously gather situation status and effectively communicate high priority matters with leadership during critical incidents or unexpected transportation incidents when required.Interface and establish regular communication and collaboration with Kuiper stakeholders and customers to include but not limited to: Global Trade Compliance, Security, Engineering, Legal, Logistics and others as necessary.Manage scheduling of staff to ensure sufficient staffing for a 24/7/365 program and shift rotation as business needs require.May be required to work during off hours, weekends and/or holidays to support operational needs, personnel and training, as business needs require.Define training plans, create learning tools for new hires, and maintain team training and on-boarding materials and documentation.Establish audit processes to ensure data accuracy in all program dashboards and metrics.Generate CAPA’s for all shipments outside of SLA and perform root cause analysis, track to closure and maintain quality after resolution is completed to prevent future re-occurrences.Integrate all new programs and suppliers into proper process flow to book with 3PL freight forwarders for all shipments under Kuiper Transportation.Build strategic process to scale in order to tier and integrate critical suppliers into Kuiper Transportation process workflow, in collaboration with Tax, Trade, Legal, Security and any/all relevant stakeholders.Represent Kuiper Transportation to all internal and external OEM/ODM and logistics partners to establish proactive communication to further logistics partnerships.Review and audit SOPs to ensure workflows capture actions and perform gap analysis to confirm the workflow steps and expected process flow for shipments requiring end-to-end traceability.Role requires up to 15% travel.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent.3+ years in supply chain, operations, freight desk or logistics control tower or related experience.3+ years working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.3+ years of team management.Experience with a TMS/SAP or other automated logistics program or software and/or manual shipment tracking methodology.Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.With or without reasonable accommodations, stand/sit for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and able to frequently perform work onsite 100%.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent communication and leadership skills.Experience in freight forwarding.Previous project management, process integration, or lean supply chain.Experience working with third-party manufacturing logistics processes.Experience working proactively and independently.Prioritize multiple tasks and assignments effectively.TMS/SAP or other system software involving freight or logistics.Previous dangerous goods training/knowledge.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $61,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $108,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
