Job SummaryAs the Director of Infrastructure you will play a pivotal role in building and leading a high-performing team responsible for the design, implementation, and management of our infrastructure landscape. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will have the opportunity to shape our technology backbone, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. This role requires a strategic mindset, hands-on technical expertise, and exceptional leadership skills to foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the infrastructure team.

What you will do

Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our infrastructure systems, including network, servers, storage, and cloud servicesDevelop and execute a comprehensive infrastructure strategy aligned with business objectives, driving innovation and efficiencyCollaborate with cross-functional teams to assess infrastructure needs, identify opportunities for optimization, and drive innovation initiativesEstablish and enforce best practices, standards, and policies to maintain a secure and compliant infrastructure environmentMonitor system performance and proactively address issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performanceEvaluate emerging technologies and trends, making recommendations for adoption to enhance infrastructure capabilities and efficiencyManage vendor relationships and contracts, negotiating agreements and ensuring service level agreements are metDevelop and manage infrastructure budgets, forecasting future needs and resource requirementsBuild and develop a talented team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where team members can thrive and growWhat skills and experience you bring

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferredMinimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in a leadership roleProven track record of building and leading high-performing infrastructure teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovationStrong understanding of networking, virtualization, cloud computing, and storage technologiesDemonstrated ability to design and manage infrastructure that supports high-scale, low-latency SaaS applicationsExperience with cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and real-time data processing is essentialDeep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) with a proven track record of optimizing performance and costFamiliarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures is a plusExperience in mentoring and developing engineering talent is importantExpertise in implementing and maintaining high availability, fault-tolerant systemsKnowledge of security best practices, including encryption, access control, and compliance with industry standardsExperience in automating infrastructure processes, deploying CI/CD pipelines, and adopting new technologies to improve performance and reliabilityExperience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Puppet)Deep knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2)Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goalsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and continuous improvementEffective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersRelevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CISSP) are a plus
