STAFF SERVICES MANAGER I

Under the general direction of the Farmworker and Rural Housing Section Chief (Staff Services Manager II), within the Division of State Financial Assistance (DSFA), the incumbent is responsible for overseeing the programmatic operations of the 24 State-owned migrant farmworker centers that provide seasonal housing for farmworkers through the Office of Migrant Services (OMS) Program.

Desirable Qualifications
Familiarity with the unique housing needs of agricultural workers.
Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel development, management and supervision.
Possession of excellent analytical abilities and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of subsidized rental housing programs.
Experience in asset or property management.
Knowledge of construction pay draw and habitability inspection practices.
Experience with all phases of the contracting process.
Practical knowledge of real estate and financial statement analysis.
Ability to effectively formulate and interpret State and federal regulations.
Experience writing, developing, or implementing policies.
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
Experience with conducting habitability site inspections.
