The Opportunity:When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software development, and that means rigorous testing. That’s why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.As a test engineer on our team, you’ll use your experience to work with developers, systems engineers, and offensive security professionals to evaluate software developed for a variety of unique customers. You’ll create a test plan with test cases based on user stories. Using software development, you’ll generate data and execute the test cases to see how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool.You’ll automate continuous security and performance testing and monitor health of quality assurance standards and procedures. You’ll also broaden your experience in networking, virtualization, and offensive security in support of unique requirements that have lasting impact.Work with us as we develop software solutions to secure our defense networks.Join us. The world can’t wait.You Have:Experience with IV & V testing, functional testing, or penetration testingKnowledge of basic configuration of network devices, including switches, routers, and firewallsAbility to build out networks from scratch, both small and large, utilizing hardware and virtualization, VLANs, and virtual hostsTS/SCI clearance with a polygraphBachelor’s degreeNice If You Have:Experience with network vulnerability assessment, intrusion detection monitoring, network forensics, or network traffic analysisExperience using issue and project tracking softwareExperience working independently or under limited direction or guidanceKnowledge of Agile development methodologiesKnowledge of offensive security, penetration testing, red teaming, blue teaming, vulnerability research, or incident responseAbility to work independently and learn new technologiesAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneouslyPossession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including writing and maintaining technical documentsOSCP, GPEN, GXPN, GEIR, GRTP, GCIH, or CAST CertificationsClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.Compensation:At Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
