Continuous Improvement Lead at a glance....Starting pay rate at $31.70 per hour!!Benefits begin 30 days after hire!Non-Union Field Operations Incentive Bonus Plan!Kirksville, MO Plant - Home of Oscar Mayer Cold CutsWork Schedule is based on a minimum 40-hour week.Shift Schedule is 6:30am-3:00pm and may fluctuate based on production needs.What's on the menu?Under the direction of the CI Supervisor and Continuous Improvement Manager and with the support of management staff, the employee will follow these job descriptions as it relates to the job title. The employee will own results for clean inspect and lube, centerline management system, 5S system, integrity of process data and the KHMS scrap elimination system. Actively participate in annual planning, weekly DDS & PDCA meetings, Daily SHO, Level 1 & Level 2 meetings.This employee will lead transformation analysis, center line definition and associated standard development. Develop control strategies to enable operators to respond to out-of-control situations. Leads root cause problem solving efforts on key chronic losses for the process. Coaches teams on CIL, CLM, 5S, FSQ, and KHMS systems execution. Coaches and develops teams by building problem solving skills within the process.Key Responsibilities of the Role:Facilitates the line loss analysis (waste elimination and yield improvement) and line throughput improvement plans per KHMS.Leads transformation analysis centerline definition and associated standard development.Analysis daily and shift line data to identify and prioritize loss elimination opportunities.Participate in internal audit program, food safety committee, and sanitary design team.Spends time on the floor to collect information on stops, centerlines and changeovers within the past 24 hours.Investigates initial root cause of top stops and attend DDS meetings.Develop daily plans for ownership areas and attend Shift Hand Off, Level 1 & Level 2 meetings.Ensure centerline completion and compliance. Build countermeasures on any outages.Collaborate with Process Owner, and Maintenance Lead to address sporadic losses.Lead Universal Problem Solving to eliminate chronic losses for the line.Manage centerline and Quality Daily Management Systems.Perform all other duties as assigned by management.Follow all established GMP, Housekeeping guidelines, responsibilities and QRMP operating procedures.Assist in the implementation of the QRMP program and act as trainer of new associates in conjunction with Training Department and Line Champions.Flexibility to adjust to shifts to work with employees from all shifts.Demonstrate expertise in CIL, Basic Problem Solving (6W, 2H).Willingness to become Centerline Management System qualified within one month, and become Green Belt qualified within one year.Qualifications:Frequent standing & walking required.Prolonged periods working on feet and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.Capable of learning intermediate Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Word, Metrics and ZPI skills.Strong planning and interpersonal skills.Ability to understand and coach management systems including but not limited to CIL, CLM and 5S, write WINs, SOPs, and OPLs.Effectively lead RCFA events.About Us:Kraft Heinz is a global food company with a delicious heritage.
