Job Description:
The Director of Corporate and Foundation Development will identify, develop and solicit major gifts from a portfolio of high impact corporate and foundation donors. This gift officer will work closely with the Vice President for University Advancement (VPUA) to identify high priority needs at Lincoln Memorial University and leverage opportunities for significant corporate and foundation support.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to work evenings, weekends and to travel extensively
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree
At least five years experience in corporate or foundations fundraising, or transferable knowledge in a related field
Physical Demands:
Job Duties:
Develop and solicit a portfolio of corporate and foundation prospects with the potential to support Lincoln Memorial University at a high level.
Cultivate relationships with corporate leaders, boards, and other individuals who are aligned with organizational prospects.
Work with the VPUA and LMU leadership to develop major gift proposals for current fundraising priorities and ongoing opportunities.
Research, submit, and steward foundation proposals.
Develop materials, presentations, and narrative to communicate the case for major gift support to LMU corporate and foundation stakeholders.
