Job DescriptionSupplier Quality Engineer IIITEL designs and manufactures complex capital equipment for the semiconductor industry. Our equipment integrates a wide variety of wafer processing technologies from wet to vacuum; and all the support systems to make them run: Electrical power systems, mechanical utilities, PLC controls, vacuum technology, custom design robotics and mechanisms, high voltage, RF generators, complex motion control, process chemical delivery and more.

TEL is committed to innovation and digital transformation in both our products and our process.Tokyo Electron Limited is looking for an experienced, process driven, results oriented Supplier Quality Engineer to champion Supplier Quality in our organization.Key Responsibilities:Work with cross-functional internal and external teams to develop and maintain a robust supply base.Lead regularly scheduled Supplier Quality meetings to drive supplier issue resolution, and continuous improvement.Partner with Supply Chain Solutions for supplier assessment, qualification, selection, and development.Work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations on all stages of New Product Development, ensuring quality is designed into the parts and the processes.Maintain Supplier Quality Scorecard, track KPIs, and develop supplier action plans to improve performance.Audit and assess Supplier Management Systems on a regular basis, which includes 10-15% U.S. travel.Quality leadership within organization.Participate as a member of the Material Review Board.Support outside certification audits (e.g., ISO 9001:2015 & customer).Process-focused management system advocate.Enable a “Shift Left” quality cultural change from reactive to proactive supplier-owned quality approach.Drive reduction in cost of poor quality.Factory floor support for suspected supplier non-conformance reports.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.5+ years of experience in supplier quality within a lean manufacturing environment.Supplier onsite audit experience.Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 standards.LSS Green Belt or ASQ Quality Engineer certifications a plus.Key Desired Competencies:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Open attitude and willingness to drive internal and external continuous improvements.Ability to meet project timelines, collaborate with, and lead others using project planning and documentation development skills.Supplier Evaluation/ Assessment, Qualification and Quality Management.Change management agent in a global environment.Root Cause Analysis using DMAIC or PDCA problem solving methodologies such as 8D and A3.Non-Conforming Materials Control & Disposition (MRB).Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR).Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA).Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Review.Supplier Quality Scorecard.Contemporary Quality and Reliability tools such as APQP, SPC, PPAP, and FAI.Supplier DPPM & Cost of Poor Quality.Measurement System Analysis (MSA).PFMEA and Control Plans.Process Audit Knowledge.Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, and statistical software.Project Management Skill.MRP System Quality module experience (SAP preferred).Travel requirements:

This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. This is a largely sedentary role; however, the role requires the employee to bend or stand as necessary.
