E thics in how you work and how you think.What’s the Role?The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company's logistics and transportation operations, ensuring efficient and compliant movement of goods both domestically and internationally. This role integrates transportation management, warehousing, inventory control, and cold chain management, with an awareness of FDA import regulations. The position involves managing relationships with carriers and third-party logistics (3PL) providers, while ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.What you’ll do!Oversee the daily operations of inbound and outbound transportation, including both domestic and international shipments.Manage the entire RFQ process for transportation services, from issuing requests to evaluating bids, negotiating contracts, and selecting carriers.Establish, monitor and evaluate carrier and 3PL performance, addressing issues and ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).Handle the import/export process, ensuring compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and the accurate preparation of documentation.Develop and maintain relationships with domestic and international logistics providers, ensuring high service levels and cost efficiency.Monitor and optimize the flow of goods through the supply chain, ensuring on-time delivery, resolving issues with carriers, and maintaining strong communication.Oversee the import process for FDA-regulated products, coordinating with customs brokers and handling any issues related to FDA inspections and approvals as needed.Manage inventory across multiple warehouse locations, optimizing space utilization and coordinating inbound and outbound shipments.Identify areas for continuous improvement in logistics processes, reducing costs and improving efficiency.Provide leadership and supervision to the logistics team, ensuring effective performance management, team development, and daily operations oversight.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure logistics operations align with business goals and customer requirements.What we need from youBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field or experience equivalent to a degree.3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, and supply chain management, with a focus on import/export shipments, RFQs, and carrier management.At least 2 years of supervisory experience, including managing and developing a logistics team.Proven experience managing international shipping, customs compliance, and transportation contract negotiation.Strong knowledge of international trade laws, customs regulations, and transportation standards (FDA and cold chain).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in logistics management software (e.g., TMS, WMS), NetSuite ERP, and MS Office Suite is preferred.APICS CLTD or other certifications preferred.Compensation:
$70,000 - $90,000 a year.
