The

Director, HRBP - Long Term Operations (LTO)

will be responsible for supporting overall strategy, direction, and operational leadership from a human resources perspective with Westinghouse leadership supporting several business units and their leadership teams. They will be expected to leverage and build upon existing and newly created Westinghouse human resource programs to support the achievement of business strategies and facilitate the change associated with a growth company.

In addition to partnering with leadership across the businesses, the Director of HR will partner closely with Westinghouse senior HR leadership on key business and HR initiatives in order to develop and execute HR strategies that focus on maximizing overall talent capabilities, leadership development, and driving both culture change and significant efficiencies across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a strategic HR business partner, providing strategic direction to business leaders to ensure the effectiveness of the organization in achieving business objectives from a people perspective.

Serve as a confidant, counsellor and coach to the leadership team and be viewed as a change agent by leading and sponsoring programs that encourage flexibility, productivity, and efficiency across the organizations.

Ensure human resources processes deliver the business outcome required for all organizations.

Support and drive Westinghouse corporate talent management strategies with business leaders to maximize talent capabilities in support of the organization’s growth plans.

Evaluate and monitor performance management and compensation/benefits practices that fairly and competitively recognize and reward employee contributions.

Lead the processes to develop and retain key talent in accordance with business needs.

Support and enhance management capabilities to lead effectively and facilitate employee engagement.

Provide direction and oversight to the various HR teams to ensure adherence to company processes and policies, legal/statutory requirements, and sound HR practices.

Work closely and collaboratively with members of the HR team and develop trusted relationships to allow honest feedback and dialogue related to human resources and other business topics of corporate importance.

Required Experience and Competencies:

The successful candidate will be a human resource generalist, with an excellent sense of both strategic thinking and execution excellence with a strong appreciation for the interplay between the two.

Additionally, they will be an experienced, business-focused human resources professional with a strong global background.

The following attributes are important to be successful in the role:

10-15 years or more in progressively more responsible human resources leadership roles.

Engaging leadership style to effectively interface and influence technical and commercial business leaders at the senior level regarding strategies and practices.

Strong record of delivering results and partnering with the senior leadership team.

Proven ability to drive for a unified and consistent approach to HR practices and processes in the context of delivering the right solutions to business needs.

Experience working in an organization with diverse business structures (i.e. JV’s, Major Projects).

Strong results orientation leveraging an advanced business acumen/strategic orientation, influence leadership, and change leadership – driving a change to execution in a “noiseless” way.

Proven ability to manage the staffing challenges associated with a multi-country organization in a predictive and strategic fashion, including, but not limited to workforce planning for a growing organization.

Excellent strategic planning capabilities, including the ability to anticipate the talent and organization implications and priorities of the business units.

Experience in a global, multi-site, growth-oriented company, known for HR innovation and a commitment to best practices in the HR function.

Experience with end-to-end M&A, including due diligence/integration from a business and HR perspective.

Flourish in a lean, hands-on, practical environment.

A strongly demonstrated capability in business acumen, being able to quickly assimilate information and grasp complexities and nuances within various parts of the business, in part and as a whole.

Exceptionally well-skilled in the development and management of the HR function in a complex, results-oriented company.

Demonstrated ability to build strong, collaborative relationships across the organization.

A broad understanding of and appreciation for the technical and functional components of Human Resources, including: strategic HR planning, talent management, organizational development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, employee communications, and learning/development.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Understands the implications their actions and the HR function will have on the strategic, financial and organizational demands of a rapidly evolving company.

Consistently demonstrates the highest ethical standards and integrity.

BA/BS in human resources, business, or related field; an advanced degree in Human Resources or MBA a plus.
