Job Overview:The Deputy Site Manager provides technical direction for contract performance, quality of work and contract compliance and oversight of vendors or subordinate work force: Performs duties and functions of Site Manager in his/her absence and upon delegation of Site Manager.
Contingent upon contract award.
Work Model: Onsite/Office-Based
Responsibilities:Essential Duties & Job Functions:
Coordinates with subcontractors and the Government to implement and maintain scheduled work itinerary.
Supervises subcontracted work conducted on base and remote areas.
Inspects work accomplished by subcontractor personnel, to identify any flaws or defects.
Coordinates with customer QAE personnel on matters relating to the quality or quantity of subcontractor work.
Inspects vendor subcontractors performing work for or on behalf of Chugach at this project location.
Coordinates with subcontractor functional managers and supervisors to ensure quality workmanship and timely completion of all tasks.
When directed by Site mgr, reports on accomplishments, and results of surveys, inspections, and observations relating to performance of subcontractor personnel.
Monitors scheduled and random sampling inspections are performed and documented within assigned time constraints.
Responsible for compliance with all OSHA requirements in the workplace.
Responsible for compliance with all environmental laws, and directives as applicable to the environmental for work performed by subcontractor personnel.
Shares responsibilities for all deliverables called out in the contract, documents and reports submitted.
Performs other related work in absence of Site Manager or as assigned.
Job Requirements:Mandatory:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of five (5) years broad experience in support services contracts, preferably in field maintenance operations.
Must obtain within first 90 days of employment Certified in UST Installation and Cathodic Protection Testing by the State of Alaska.
Must obtain within first 90 days of employment Veeder Root and Pneumercator Monitoring System certification.
Knowledge of generally accepted standards of workmanship in construction/maintenance of facilities, including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry, pipefitting, painting, and general construction activities.
Knowledge of government contracting terminology and applications.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint software.
Knowledge of equipment maintenance.
Knowledge of environmental issues relating to contractual requirements.
Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations.
Valid state Driver’s License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
U.S. Citizenship.
