OVERVIEW

The Logistics Manager will be tasked with ensuring a Best In Class delivery experience, focusing on cross-functional issue tracking, resolution, and process optimization from Order Shipping, Transportation, and Invoicing. The Manager needs to be skilled in monitoring shipping and package characteristic trends and respond appropriately with the carriers to ensure the company is receiving optimal time-in-transit and the most competitive pricing. The Logistics Manager will act as the liaison between internal customers and small package carriers, bringing solutions and answers to questions posed. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in working with Small Parcel Carrier networks and their pricing structures, E-commerce Operations, Section 321 Cross-Border, Reverse Logistics, and Data Analytics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor and report on carrier delivery and on-time performance. Focus on continuous improvement related to speed, service consistency and cost management.

Provide weekly reports to leadership on Last Mile carrier network performance.

Act as point of contact for the day-to-day parcel carrier relationships (3+ carriers).

Communicate unforeseen carrier rate, rule, or service interruptions.

Communicate monthly volume forecasts and reconcile any variances.

Work with cross-functional teams (Distribution Centers, Retail, eCommerce Teams, and Project/Strategy) to identify and resolve issues.

Active involvement in weekly carrier meetings and quarterly business reviews.

Facilitate carrier claims on a weekly basis and provide reporting on cost recovery.

Audit Parcel invoices and reconcile against contract terms and rate agreements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Business, Economics, Engineering, or Supply Chain Operations.

Experience in designing reports, extracting data, and interpreting multiple data sources.

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and complete root cause analyses.

3+ years of direct experience in eCommerce retail and parcel carrier networks (e.g., FedEx, Regional, and Cross Border Carriers).

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with strong verbal and written communication skills.

The base salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company's total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long-term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
