Job SummaryThe Associate Director, Housing Operations manages the day-to-day operations of student housing assignments, including process timelines, applications, wait lists, and communications. Provides oversight of billing and collection of all housing fees. Oversees the services provided at the front desk for the administrative offices.Job DescriptionTypical duties may include but are not limited to:Supervises the day-to-day operations of student housing assignments, including the supervision of departmental employees. Provides guidance and direction to staff involved in services and programs.Manages new and returning student housing agreements and room selection process including establishing a process timeline, delivering communications, updating the website, and configuring the student portal.Oversees all billing and collections of student housing fees, including application fees, rental fees, damage charges, and other related fees.Oversees the services provided at the front desk for the Administrative Offices and supervises all staff assigned to this area.Develops and manages mass communications strategy for residential students.Prepares, creates, and distributes reports for assignments and staff as needed for the assignments process. Assists with analyzing data to establish trends and forecast occupancy and revenue.Coordinates with Athletics Department to arrange housing for student athletes and determine placement in accordance with established guidelines.Develops and implements waitlist and overflow housing processes. Oversees and maintains the waitlist and ensures consistent communication with students.Coordinates assignments and access processes for summer programs, including conferences, groups, and interns.Establishes performance goals and measures to evaluate success of assigned area of responsibility.Participates in development of policies and procedures relating to housing operations.Coordinates special projects pertaining to occupancy management.Serves as a liaison between FGCU Housing and the off-campus housing vendor to arrange housing outside of the FGCU campus.Manages the yearly updates to housing agreements in consultation with General Counsel's Office.Manages guest housing agreements, placement, and payment.Responsible for ensuring that all programs, activities, and services comply with university, state, and federal regulations.Other Duties:Performs other job-related duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:This position requires either ten years of directly related full-time experience or, as an alternative, a Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of full-time experience directly related to the job functions.Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.Experience operating a personal computer and proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree from an accredited institution in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, Counseling, or related degree.Four years of experience in university housing operations which includes assignments and billing.Experience with Star Rez, Mercury, Banner Student Information System, and/or Workday.Experience supervising the work of support and professional employees.Experience developing strategic communications strategy associated with occupancy and application management.Experience leading cross department project teams.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of or ability to learn StarRez and Mercury.Knowledge of or ability to learn Banner and Workday.Knowledge and practical application of occupancy management principles.Knowledge of accounts receivable principles, practices, and procedures.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects.Ability to collaborate and work effectively within a diverse group of staff, faculty, students, and the community in a service-oriented environment.Ability to work successfully as both a member of a team and independently with minimal supervision.Ability to take initiative to plan, organize, coordinate, and perform work in various situations when numerous and diverse demands are involved.Ability to thrive in an organization that values the diversity of its student body and workforce and actively promotes an equitable environment.Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals and objectives.Ability to effectively manage the work of others by providing information, guidance, and motivation.Ability to utilize data and information to make decisions and projections.Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends as necessary.Salary:

$65,000 to negotiable. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
