$35,000.00 To $40,000.00 AnnuallyOdle Management – A subsidiary of Eckerd ConnectsReports to the Social Development Director and is a salaried, exempt position. Responsible for the operation of assigned dormitory and for the supervision, counseling, and guidance of students assigned to the dorm in compliance with government and management directives. Demonstrates ongoing commitment to preparing young people for the workforce by modeling, mentoring, and monitoring excellence in the eight Career Success Standards of: workplace relations and ethics; information management; communications; multicultural awareness; personal growth and development; career and personal planning; interpersonal skills and independent living.Duties and Responsibilities:Demonstrates and abides by Odle Core Values and operating principles.Supervises resident advisors assigned to the dormitory and ensures that they adequately meet all student needs.Serves as the Career Success Team (CST) leader for their respective dormitory.Provides monthly and weekly activity reports to Social Development Director.Maintains order and discipline in assigned dormitory while encouraging the development of self-discipline and an awareness of others.Ensures orderly, safe, clean, and healthy living conditions in the dormitory by scheduling and supervising clean-up and repair assignments.Oversees independent living and student leadership sessions, and reviews achievement records for accuracy.Assists students in handling special problems and conducts dormitory meetings.May participate in 6-month evaluation of Residential Advisors.Provides supervision for the cafeteria, laundry, special activities on and off center, and other program areas as assigned.Attends required staff training sessions.Facilitates prompt and appropriate assistance to students in the event of injury, illness, emotional trauma, arrest, trouble at home, etc.Participates in the disciplinary process as established at the center, including zero tolerance for violence and drugs. Supports other center programs including recreation/avocation, behavior management, counseling, student government, etc.Facilitates the maintenance of folders containing information, forms, etc., for each student assigned in the dormitory.Oversees dormitory meetings for planning required activities and encourages leadership development.Cultivates and maintains a positive climate that is free of harassment, intimidation, bullying, and disrespect in order to provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn.Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills including personal responsibility and computer fluency.Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property, adheres to safety practices in all areas of responsibility.Performs other duties as assigned.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by a person in this position. Ability to effectively relate to and communicate with disadvantaged youth. Ability to obtain and maintain CPA/First Aid/AED certification. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Able to read email daily and reply to messages in a timely manner based on urgency and importance. Knowledge of Education and Career Technical Training programs, and local social service and community assistance resources. Ability to inspire and motivate staff. Position requires an ability to operate office equipment. In addition, an individual must be able to interact with team members and maintain an effective working relationship with all facility staff and departments.
