Trading Operations - Assistant Vice President

Arena is looking to expand the global Operations Team through the addition of an Assistant Vice President of Trading Operations to provide unparalleled support to the firm’s Corporate Securities business lines. In this role, this individual will oversee all aspects of the life cycle of tradeable securities across global markets. The individual will also work closely with all departments of the firm, including c-suite executives. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, resourceful, and have excellent communication skills.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Organize and lead initial investment discussions and ensure the firm’s internal investment pipeline and order management system (OMS) maintain complete, real-time accuracy.Support investment team in the operational aspects related to insurance client portfolios.Bring a control first mindset to trade management; have an exceptional knowledge of trade capture, post trade reconciliation and controls, asset servicing, and collateral & liquidity management.Build, test, and enhance best in class Exposure and P&L reporting for senior management.Be a “player/ coach”; this role requires both the critical thinking and leadership skills to both perform all operational aspects of the trade lifecycle, and simultaneously scale a team around all key functions.Work as part of a global Operations team to provide high quality coverage to all trading desks, across time zones.Serve as a “go to” resource for the business, senior leadership, and other internal stakeholders.Coordinate with the firm’s global custodians, dealers, and prime brokers to launch new accounts, implement controls to minimize errors, and improve daily processing workflows.Support the addition of new global custodians, trading counterparts, deal sources, financing lines, and joint venture relationships.Set up new accounts and entities with the firm’s fund administrator.Work closely with the team to monitor, record and reconcile cash inflows and outflows from new and existing investments.Support secondary market bank debt trading, closing, and settlement across a range of high touch markets.Assist with internal data integrity analysis.Promote and sponsor ad hoc projects as needed.
