As the Senior Space Operations Advisor, you will serve as a key figure within one of the nation's premier defense contractors, helping to bridge the gap between military space operational requirements and the company's technological capabilities. This elite role requires a seasoned professional with over 20 years of military experience, a deep understanding of space operations, and the ability to guide the company's strategic engagements with agencies like the U.S. Space Force (USSF), U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and other defense entities. In this role, you will report directly to the Group Vice President. Your expertise will enable you to provide high-level analytical and technical support for projects involving training, military systems design, and other complex operational efforts. You will help shape the company's technology investments, leveraging your military insight to meet the evolving needs of our defense partners.Key Responsibilities Include
Provide advanced analytical and technical support to activities related to training, operational documentation, and military systems design, using deep military operations expertise.Gather, process, and analyze operational data, applying insights to improve technology investments and their alignment to client needs in space operations and defense.Identify and recommend emerging technologies that align with company R&D and investment strategies, focusing on improvements to space-related systems and operations.Inform and support business development and capture strategies, helping the company expand its footprint in space defense and missile operations.Engage directly with current and prospective customers to understand their needs and align solutions.Mentor and provide guidance to less-experienced staff, with potential for supervisory responsibilities.Maintain an up-to-date understanding of relevant technologies and subject matter to ensure our solutions are at the forefront of innovation.Support leadership in shaping future growth, with the opportunity to evolve into management responsibilities as the company expands its mission.This position is highly selective.
