We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to lead one of our Salvation Army stores. This role is crucial in supporting our mission through efficient store operations, staff management, and community engagement.Pay Rate: $18/HourKey Responsibilities
Leadership & Staff Management
Recruit, train, and supervise store staffManage scheduling and payroll processingImplement TSA policies and practices in employee relationsProvide training and support to beneficiaries in work therapy programsStore Operations
Develop and implement strategies to meet production and sales goalsOversee donation processes, product sorting, pricing, and presentationManage store maintenance, safety, and appearanceEnsure compliance with OSHA and Salvation Army safety policiesCustomer Experience
Create an enjoyable shopping environmentDevelop customer retention plansSet an example for positive customer interactionsFinancial Management
Oversee cash handling procedures and daily depositsWork within budget parametersManage inventory tracking for designated product linesCommunication & Reporting
Maintain open communication with Regional Manager and ARC Department HeadsProvide daily reports on store production and salesAddress customer complaints and provide education about the programQualifications
Education & Experience
Associate degree in business administration, retail sales or marketing is preferred2 years' experience in staff management and development or combination of education and experienceProven retail management experienceSkills & Abilities
Strong leadership and team-building skillsExcellent customer service orientationProficiency in cash handling and basic financial managementAbility to work a flexible schedule, including early/late shifts, weekends, and holidaysAbility to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with customers, management and coworkersBasic computer skills including but not limited to the use of the Point of Sales System; the payroll program, Microsoft Office Suite and all other programs or systems that are adopted by the TSA/ARCAbility to give change accuratelyGood speaking, hearing and vision ability, and excellent manual dexterityCertifications
Valid Driver's LicenseAble to drive on behalf of The Salvation Army per Salvation Army PolicySupervisory Responsibility
In conjunction with the Regional Manager, recruit, interview and recommend for hire Store staffTrain and supervise the store staffIn collaboration with the Regional Manager, provide direct reports with a personnel reviewReview and approve time and attendance for store personnel using the current payroll systemCheck time logs regularly, following all current regulations and trainingsPhysical Requirements
Regularly required to stand, use hands, handle, feel, hear, and talkFrequently required to walk and reach with hands and armsOccasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouchMust regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 poundsSpecific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focusWork Environment
Store environment with quiet to moderate noise levelMay be dusty and experience temperature fluctuations based on weatherMay stand for extended periodsWork is performed in a typical retail store/warehouse environmentFull-time position; will require weekend and evening hoursTravel
May be required to travel to various locations for work or training, including monthly management training
