As the Sr. Director of Corporate Communications, External Communications at HealthTrust Performance Group, youll be at the forefront of shaping our brands voice and amplifying our presence across the healthcare industry. In this dynamic role, youll lead strategic executive thought leadership initiatives, forge strong media relationships and oversee our external communications infrastructure, including our website and social media platforms. In this role, you wont just manage communicationsyoull be a key architect in crafting and delivering the narratives that define HealthTrusts impact and success, ensuring our message is consistent, compelling and impactful.What you will do in this role:Must be an experienced, strong business corporate communications writer with extensive experience writing for executives, media and other external audiences.Collaborate with strategic marketing team to develop and execute thought leadership strategies that elevate the organization's profile.Identify and create platforms for executives to share expertise, including speaking engagements, media interviews and industry publicationsLead the development and dissemination of press releases, ensuring alignment with organizational messaging and strategic goals.Track the impact and effectiveness of press releases, providing regular reports and insights to leadership.Serve as the primary media spokesperson, managing media inquiries and facilitating executive interviews.Cultivate relationships with key media contacts to ensure favorable coverage and accurate representation of the organization.Partner with Strategic Marketing to amplify marketing campaigns and initiatives. - Act as the media liaison for business lines, ensuring consistent company messaging across all strategic marketing campaigns.Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align external communications with business objectives.Oversee the relationship with the PR agency, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment with communication goals.Manage the PR agency budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and alignment with strategic priorities.Oversee content updates and management of the HealthTrust website, ensuring it serves as a robust communication tool.Manage the newsroom section, keeping content current and relevant to key audiences.Lead the development and execution of HealthTrust's social media strategy, ensuring alignment with overall strategic marketing goals.Oversee content creation, scheduling and engagement across social media platforms to enhance brand visibility and foster engagement.Monitor social media trends and analytics, adjusting strategies to optimize performance and engagement.Develop presentation and run-of-show documents for the President & CEO at annual conference (HTU), ensuring clear and effective communication during key events.Manage external executive communications, including speeches, statements and official correspondence.Lead and manage various communications projects that arise in response to current events, industry news or major organizational developments.Quickly develop and execute communication strategies that align with timely events or emerging trends, ensuring HealthTrusts voice is relevant and responsive.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address urgent communication needs, ensuring messaging is accurate, consistent and impactful across all platforms.This position is office-based, providing valuable in-person collaboration with your team. Remote work is permitted on occasion, with the leaders approval.What qualifications you will need:Degree in communication or related field: English, journalism, public relations, marketing or healthcare management. An advanced degree is preferred, required12+ years in communications or public relations required; similar responsibilities within a healthcare organization or a group purchasing organization is ideal, required12+ years of experience in a senior management role either in-house corporate communications or with a communications/PR agency, requiredDeep experience working with executive-level and team leads across the organization, requiredAbility to work with subject matter experts and capacity to grasp complex business subjects and effectively translate the material into effective deliverables, requiredWork independently and collaboratively, and communicate effectively in both written and verbal form, requiredSuperior management skills.
