Job Description: Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines of BioFire Diagnostics' Quality System. 2. Create, manage and improve processes in relation to incoming material requirements, procedures, and processes and stocking of material, related transactions, bin maintenance, and shelving requirements. 3. Create, manage and improve processes to the intercompany delivery process production and non-production of materials and intercom pay mail. 4. Oversee the correct execution of the production warehouses: their stock of materials, processes, and cycle auditing of materials in these locations. 5. Collaborate with procurement, quality, and production to ensure material and processes meet business, quality, and production requirements. 6. Enforce, coach, and correct direct reports and employees to the Attendance Policy and maintain proper documentation on points incurred. 7. Create, manage and improve processes to transport and ship non-conforming material as directed form Material Review Board back to suppliers. Work closely with procurement, quality and the cycle audit team on tracking and performing necessary transactions including RTV's. 8. Ensure NCR's are being created, moved, and processed to WID's and procedures. 9. Execute, oversee, log, and maintain change order implementations. 10. Ensure all direct reports and employees adhere to company safety requirements and policies. 11. Conduct and attend meetings with direct reports regularly. 12. Conduct and attend meetings with other departments within BioFire. 13. Mentor, coach, correct, and supervise employee's performance and development. 14. Ensure cross-training is complete and accurate within the department. 15. Write and conduct employee performance reviews. 16. Manage projects within the department. 17. Keep excellent documentation on employee relations. 18. Strategize and collaborate with the team and other departments to anticipate respond to business growth. 19. Work with Software development to implement and improve materials software tools. 20. Assist upper management with grading material handlers for bonus and merit increases. 21. Institute LEAN practices for the warehouse, material handling, and receiving areas, Examples are Six S, FIFO inventory, and value stream mapping of processes. 22. Work effectively with the Logistics Manager and team to ensure finished goods are delivered to store location or shipping on time and in pristine condition. 23. Support lot traceability and labeling for regulatory and Manufacturing Execution System (Production Web) processes. 24. Expert in checking out and updating area WID's. 25. Hiring and managing direct reports including material handlers. 26. Writing and conducting corrective actions for direct reports. 27. Make inventory adjustments within authorized parameters. 28. Create, improve, and write procedures in regards to all material handling processes and tasks. Additionally, . Manage a team of 5 to 30 personnel. 2. Manage direct reports and personnel to maintain transactional accuracy of inventory. 3. Manage the team in the overall accuracy of inventory to goals and targets in controlled inventory warehouses. 4. Internal candidates must adhere to the Materials Management Cross-Training Program/Evaluation Education and Training:. High school diploma or equivalent required. 2. 2 or 4 year degree preferred. 3. APICS training preferred. Experience: 5 years of management experience in inventory, warehouse, and receiving. 2. Proven ability in a previous leadership role required. 3. Materials handling /management experience within the medical device industry, including working with the FDA regarding control of materials for instruments and chemistry, preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Knowledge of inventory control principles. 2. Knowledge of warehouse management, shipping and/or, receiving functions. 3. Proficient in ERP and Warehouse management software. 4. Ability to proficiently use Word, Excel, and MS Office software. 5. Ability to communicate effectively up and down the organization. 6. Ability to learn and implement lean practices and demand flow strategies throughout the warehouse and production. 7. Knowledge of and experience in the majority of applicable job skills and ability to train other employees in these areas. For example: receiving, shipping, Kanban replenishment, Six S methodology, campus deliveries, truck run, etc. 8. Experience with implementing lean practices and demand flow strategies with suppliers, and internally to an organization are highly preferred.
