Position Purpose:
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for managing and executing social media strategies for multiple TV shows across various platforms. This includes creating graphics, video clips, and copy for social media posts, scheduling content, and ensuring posts are aligned with the marketing goals for each show. The ideal candidate is highly creative, has a strong understanding of social media best practices, and can effectively manage the social media presence for 3-4 TV shows, ensuring consistent engagement and audience growth. At the heart of this role is a passion for reaching people with the Gospel through digital communication, ensuring every post and interaction serves to inspire, engage, and bring freedom through Christ.
Essential Duties:Develop and execute social media strategies for 3-4 TV shows, ensuring each show's social media presence aligns with its brand and marketing objectives.Create original content for social media platforms, including graphics, copy, and short video clips tailored to each show's audience to ensure visually appealing and on-brand posts.Write compelling copy designed to convert followers into engaged viewers and participants, using persuasive language that aligns with each show's tone and objectives.Create eye-catching graphics and video clips that stop the scroll, captivate the audience, and drive engagement and conversions, ensuring all visuals are optimized for the platform.Schedule, post, and manage content across multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube.Maintain a consistent posting schedule for each show, ensuring posts are timely and aligned with the show's broadcast and promotional calendar.Write engaging, brand-appropriate copy that captures each show's tone.Design platform-specific graphics and visuals that reflect the messaging of each TV show.Create short, engaging video clips from existing show footage to share on social media platforms, increasing audience engagement and reach.Monitor and respond to comments and messages on each show's social media accounts to foster community engagement.Track and analyze social media performance using analytics tools, providing insights and recommendations for content optimization and audience growth.Collaborate with content, marketing, and production teams to ensure social media efforts align with broader marketing initiatives and show promotions.Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and best practices to continually enhance social media strategies for each show.Ensure all social media content complies with brand guidelines and adheres to GTN's mission and values.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define messaging, offers, and strategies for campaigns.Conduct A/B testing to optimize headlines, offers, and CTAs for better engagement and conversions.Actively seek opportunities to experiment with new strategies and optimize performance for better results.Organize, plan, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, implementing process improvements where needed.Create and implement strategies for list growth, increased engagement, and higher ROI.Compile and report social media metrics regularly to track progress against team and organizational goals.Stay up to date with social media marketing and graphic design trends, tools, and best practices.Other related tasks as assigned.Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong proficiency in social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and YouTube.Ability to create compelling and visually appealing content, including graphics, copy, and short video clips, tailored to specific audiences and platforms.Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Canva, or similar software, as well as basic video editing tools for creating social clips.Excellent writing and copy-editing skills, with a strong ability to craft engaging social media posts.Experience with scheduling tools such as Sprout, Hootsuite, Buffer, or native platform scheduling features.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage content for multiple TV shows simultaneously and meet deadlines.Analytical skills to track, measure, and optimize social media performance.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with marketing and content teams.Familiarity with social media trends, algorithms, and best practices for audience engagement and growth.Strong project management skills to handle multiple campaigns across different shows simultaneously.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.Ability to work independently with minimal oversight, demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness.Excellent problem-solving skills.Requirements:
Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.Must sign the Statement of Faith.A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.Charis Bible College graduate is preferred.Must pass all required checks.Experience:
Proven track record of managing successful social media campaigns and accounts that drive engagement and conversions.2+ years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.Experience in managing social media for multiple brands or shows is a plus.Compensation is commensurate with experience.
