As a Manager, Sourcing, your expertise, vision, and strategy will allow you to create businesses in the Toys department at Walmart. You will have the opportunity to develop complex sourcing strategies for existing products while also working with Product Developers to create first of their kind innovative products. You will work directly with Merchants to ensure critical business metrics are met while influencing future growth strategies to help our customers Save Money and Live Better.

What you'll do:

* Build and manage comprehensive Private Brand sourcing strategy and supplier matrix to optimize GMV, profit and market share by supporting Every Day Low Prices strategy.* Communicate with retail teams to align, arrange buy trips, and manage critical issues during the order execution process. Oversee factory capability and capacity, product quality, and on-time delivery.* Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to ensure a smooth product development process from ideation to final production. Work closely with Toys sourcing teams in different locations around the world on shared initiatives.* Develop and maintain supplier relationships, including (but not limited to) account management, project management, and factories. Conduct supplier assessments and formulate the supplier matrix for an assigned category.* Collaborates cross-functionally with the various business partners and suppliers to understand business needs. Priority and develop optimal solutions to support.* Demonstrate awareness of global trade developments for assigned geographies and incorporate into sourcing proposals. Understand buying objectives and specification, components, component suppliers (upstreaming), production, construction and communicate with suppliers.* Manage the oversight of sourcing and operational issues regarding costing and quality of Omni channel.* Lead identified sourcing opportunities to ensure suppliers capability.* Guide partners and suppliers to ensure product quality, delivery and price goals.* Ensure follow up of all sourcing activities with support teams and suppliers.* Drive RFP/RFI/RFQ, negotiate price and develop alternatives to achieve sourcing objectives. Identify and resolve pricing and factory issues with suppliers.* Partner with Merchandise Quality Engineers on problems related to quality. Present sourcing solutions that mitigate risks while maintaining profitability.* Understand supplier capabilities, capacity, and performance. Evaluate supplier performance, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies, taking corrective actions when necessary. Use in-depth understanding of should be cost structure to provide cost-saving opportunities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cost, quality, and delivery performance, newness, innovation by collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement best practices. Actively participate in order placement decisions.* Lead sourcing initiatives/projects with cross-functional partners. Provide support to team members on sourcing activities. Continuously develop product and market knowledge and industry know-how to identify potential new suppliers and product opportunities. Help to collect market intelligence and share with related teams. Apply digitalization and new ways of working during sourcing activities. Optimize strategic sourcing and procurement processes. Analyze data by leveraging inhouse and third party platforms/tools to build data backed proposals,* Support broader toys teams on sourcing initiatives in the North America region (including Mexico)* Demonstrate curiosity and a growth mindset; fosters an environment that supports learning, innovation, and intelligent risk-taking; and exhibits resilience in the face of setbacks.

We would love for you to have:

* Global experience in Sourcing, Merchandising or Procurement.* Bachelor's degree in related field.* 3+ years' experience in retail, manufacturing, or sourcing industry.* 5+ years' experience in retail or major brand, or importer/agent serving major retail customers.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
