Position Summary
This position will oversee all purchasing and vendor development activities for the Tronair organization. The position will be accountable for developing and implementing the appropriate metrics to drive both supplier performance and cost reductions throughout the organization. The position will be involved in annual budgeting, sourcing services as needed, supporting Product development programs and Inventory level planning through the use of PFEP.
Essential Functions
Identify, target, and execute on annual savings targetsDevelop supplier performance metrics along with introduction of appropriate score cards that drive corrective actions as neededDevelop appropriate Buyer and Planner metrics to ensure all components are being ordered and followed up on as appropriateOversee CAPEX purchases and expendituresEstablish programs and processes that ensure compliance with established ISO standardsDirect and lead supplier improvement initiatives as needed for both quality and lead time adherenceProvide daily directions to Buyers and Planners as neededImplement Inventory methodology to support yearly growth targets, Inventory turns, and lead time expectations to our customersImplement a standard approach to setting safety stock and MOQ levels that support business needs and a process to ensure complianceWork closely with Product Management on changes and new product developmentOversee the compliance to Tronair's workflow process as it relates to buying and establishing new componentsEthically and professionally represent the company in interactions with assigned suppliers. Clearly communicate Tronair requirements and performance expectations to suppliers.Review and drive PPV understanding and make adjustments as requiredQualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or other closely related field is desiredAt least 3-5 years of Sourcing and Purchasing management experience.Experience in budget planning for PPV and Program changesAbility to read, analyze and interpret drawings, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and suppliers.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist.Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretionAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.Working knowledge of Outlook, Internet, Manufacturing, Spreadsheet and Word processing software.Physical Requirements

Routinely sit, sometimes for extended periods, and perform work using a computerUse hands to finger, handle or feelfrequently sit, stand and/or walkOccasionally stoop, bend, reach, push or pullOccasionally lift and/or move up to 15 poundsOccasionally spend time in the manufacturing environment to complete assigned projects (assist with inventory, verification of cycle counts, etc.) At such times, a greater amount of physical exertion, standing and walking would be required.
