Position Summary:

ISI Professional Services is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with expertise in the construction industry to provide Owner's Representative construction management services to a DoD client. The Electrical Engineer will work to support a DOD client looking to manage the construction of a

once in a generation

new Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Currency Production Facility (CPF) to provide a modern, secure, and innovative facility for the manufacturing of United States currency for the BEP. The new facility will occupy a 104-acre site in Beltsville, Maryland. The construction project is comprised of a primary building with a footprint of approximately one million square feet. The program consists of a manufacturing hall and support spaces, laboratory/research spaces, a warehouse, vaults, a firing range, a tour area for visitors and visitor/vehicle screening outbuildings.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing electrical systems installations, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, and providing technical advice to government representatives.

Essential Job FunctionsMeeting Participation:

Attend and provide advisory input during preconstruction, quality control, progress, and coordination meetings between government and contractors.Construction Document Review:

Analyze electrical drawings and specifications, identifying potential construction issues, and recommending solutions to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).Submittal Review:

Review contractor submittals for electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and providing recommendations to the COR.RFI Responses:

Provide technical support to Requests for Information (RFI), ensuring timely, documented responses within 24 hours.Deficiency Tracking:

Monitor and report on construction deficiencies, ensuring timely corrective actions and preventing future occurrences. Propose effective solutions to rectify electrical issues.Troubleshooting Support:

Provide technical troubleshooting for electrical systems. Analyze issues, propose corrective measures, and document recommendations in detailed reports.Inspection Process:

Participate in the three-phase inspection process, ensuring electrical systems comply with design and contract requirements, codes and standards, and document inspections in the Resident Management System (RMS).Status Reporting:

Prepare and present weekly status reports, highlighting construction progress, outstanding issues, and recommended actions.As-Built Reviews:

Conduct monthly reviews of contractor's as-built electrical drawings, documenting deficiencies and providing recommendations for corrective action.Qualifications:

Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or 20 years of experience inspecting and managing the installation of electrical systems, inclusive of low voltage and fire alarm systems.Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management with a focus on electrical systems.Technical Skills:

Possess knowledge of construction contract documents, including front-end and technical specifications and drawings, to readily understand and assess the requirements; knowledge of engineering services, building codes, budgeting, and scheduling to lead to the project's success.Communication:

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively between contractors and government representatives.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience on large-scale, government construction projects, especially with USACE.Prior experience working on electrical systems in secured federal buildings.Professional licensure in Electrical Engineering (PE) is a plus but not required.Physical Requirements:
