Administrative Supervisor Position Summary
The Administrative Supervisor supervises the daily clinical activities of the Nursing Department, assesses departmental nursing care needs based upon patient acuities and plans required staffing. The Administrative Supervisor recommends and supports goals and objectives that are consistent with the mission statement of TidalHealth. The Administrative Supervisor delivers exceptional quality and service to all patients and other customers through a constant pursuit of excellence and respect for every individual, fosters an environment of participation, teamwork and growth. The Administrative Supervisor may act as mediator in conflict situations with nursing department and between other departments and Medical Staff and often works under pressure of time and accuracy in organizing and accomplishing work. The Administrative Supervisor anticipates problems and proceeds with resolution in an organized, effective manner and may readily assume additional responsibilities.
Administrative Supervisor Position RequirementsGraduate from an accredited School of Nursing with a Baccalaureate Degree in nursing preferred.Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse. Must hold a license in the state ofpermanent residency.A minimum of five years in nursing with one year experience in a management position.American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) requiredACLS and PALS required within 6 months of taking the position.Administrative Supervisor Schedule
Usually works six out of eight weekend shifts in an eight-week schedule.Works holidays, usually every other.Expected to work overtime if the need arises.Must be willing to come to work during an emergency, i.e., a disaster.Administrative Supervisor Benefits
