Job Summary
The Total Rewards & People Generalist is a key contributor to the People team and is responsible for executing various HR functions that support positive team member experiences and align with organizational goals. This role primarily focuses on total rewards programs, including benefits program management, leave of absence administration, performance and compensation administration, and supporting company-wide people initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and passionate about delivering exceptional services.

Key Responsibilities
Benefit Program ManagementAdminister, maintain, and communicate the company's benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA, disability, ancillary programs, and retirement plans.Collaborate with leadership to evaluate and design benefits packages that align with company objectives and team member needs, ensuring competitiveness in the market.Conduct benefits orientations and manage the annual open enrollment process. Monitor enrollments and update HRIS as needed.Manage our benefits portals (Employee Navigator, BCBS, and Health Equity) and update HRIS as needed.Serve as a resource for team members regarding benefit plan provisions, resolving questions and issues promptly.Liaise with benefits vendors and carriers to ensure accurate and efficient service delivery, addressing any issues as they arise.Analyze bills for accuracy and compliance.Track and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (e.g., ACA, HIPAA, COBRA) and maintain up-to-date records.Leave of Absence Administration
Manage and process leave of absence requests, including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), short-term and long-term disability, parental leave, and other company-specific leave policies.Act as the primary point of contact for team members and managers on leave of absence policies, procedures, and requirements.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to leave of absence administration.Maintain accurate and up-to-date leave records, including tracking leave duration, eligibility, and documentation.Coordinate with payroll and benefits teams to ensure accurate payments and benefits continuation during leaves.Provide guidance and support to employees throughout the leave process, answering questions and addressing concerns.Manage the return-to-work process, including necessary accommodations, and ensure a smooth transition back into the workplace.Collaborate with external vendors or service providers to manage leave cases.Assist in developing and improving leave policies, processes, and resources to enhance the team member experience.Performance Management & Compensation Administration
Administer and maintain performance management processes to streamline evaluations, goal setting, and feedback processes.Collaborate with IT and system vendors to ensure the performance management system is functional, updated, and user-friendly.Work closely with the Director of People and our compensation consultant to analyze market salaries and benchmark annual compensation to maintain competitive salary ranges.Assist in administering incentive programs, merit-based raises, and annual performance reviews.Generate reports from the system to analyze trends and provide insights for continuous improvement.Wellness Program Management
Develop, implement, and manage wellness initiatives, such as health screenings, fitness programs, mental health resources, and wellness challenges.Partner with vendors to provide health and wellness services, including employee assistance programs (EAPs), wellness coaching, and discounted memberships.Track participation rates, gather feedback, and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of wellness programs, making adjustments as needed.Promote wellness programs through effective communication strategies, including newsletters, intranet posts, and company-wide announcements.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.3-5 years of experience in an HR generalist role with exposure to benefits and LOA administration. Experience with performance and compensation is a plus.A passion for employee engagement and a commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace culture.Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with UKG Ready is a plus!Familiarity with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, FLSA, ACA, and EEO regulations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels.Strong ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.A team player with a customer-focused approach and a commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment.Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.E-VERIFY
