Construction Manager
will be responsible for overseeing the PV and Battery Field Construction activities including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Structural. This position plays a key role in the department through managing the field work of subcontractors to ensure quality, schedule and safety objectives are achieved. Specific key areas of focus include monitoring job safety, conducting job safety meetings, supervising subcontractors and vendors, maintaining project schedules and interfacing directly with the customer. The successful candidate will have a strong site presence and ensure company objectives are achieved.RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop, coordinate and manage all jobsites construction related activities providing field related support to the project manager, including but not limited to managing field-related project planning, scheduling and quality controlDevelop subcontractor scopes of work with Project ManagerMeet or exceed customer's performance expectations in line with contract obligationsMonitor and manage jobsites compliance with the corporate safety plan, design drawings and contract agreementsAssist in the pre-qualification and descoping of contractors, subcontractors and equipment vendorsCollaborate with engineering and project management teams in conducting design optimization, value engineering and constructability reviews of projectsPerform cost estimating and purchasing functionsComplete daily or weekly field reports and record with project documentationMaintain working knowledge of codes, new technology and internal company design standards/requirementsOversee various testing and quality assurance checks by Engineering staff to verify the quality of completed projectsQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degreein Engineering or Construction related preferredDriver's licenseMinimum 10 years of experience in Renewable energy projects in both PV and Energy StoragePrevious budget/schedule/performance/quality responsibilitiesSpecific experience with building energy systems including electrical, Civil, PV and Energy storage systemsExperience in the overall integration of Design engineering, construction, start-up, close-out, turnover and subsequent O&M of a variety of Construction projectsStrong interpersonal skills to interact and work effectively across internal or external organizational boundaries to achieve goals and meet tight deadlines in both group or independent workAbility to push/pull/lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.The ability to work safely in extreme field environments (hot sun, cold, etc.) where necessaryAbility and willingness to travel to and from job sites as required to support the projects development and construction.Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlinesStrong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverablesMotivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilitiesProven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgroundsThis position is primarily a field based with some time spent in RWECE offices

Expected Travel is 90%
Pay range:
The annual base salary range for this position in New York is $103,000 - $155,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
