We are a new college preparatory elementary and middle school serving the students of Jackson, MS.
Responsibilities and Duties
Talent Acquisition Associate is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and interviewing prospective mission-aligned candidates to find the perfect match for our long-term goals. This person plays an important role in our organization's staff recruitment and retention success.
Responsibilities of the Talent Acquisition Associate include, but are not limited to:
Recruitment:
Use creative sourcing methods to recruit and hire talentCreate career requisitions and obtain necessary approvalsPlan and coordinate recruitment eventsDevelop and post both internal and external job advertisementsConduct candidate sourcing activitiesManage resume collection, conduct position assessments, screen candidates, and track progressCultivate and maintain professional relationships with college, university, and community college placement offices to source qualified applicantsStay engaged with current job boards, social networks, and platforms to identify and attract talent and create and distribute job descriptions and announcementsDevelop and nurture high-touch relationships with a database of qualified active and passive talent to tap into for future openingsEstablish and maintain recruitment metrics and dashboardsAttend career fairsOnboarding & Orientation
Collaborate with hiring managers to review job descriptions, define critical job tasks, and establish qualifying application questionsOversee including candidate screening and interview coordinationConduct initial phone screenings, schedule interviews, and notify all candidates of hiring decisionsAssist with planning and conducting new employee orientation and onboardingMaintain application, resumes, and other employee file documentation in accordance with company policyEmployee Retention:
Assist with organization staff retention initiativesAssist with the organization renewal processDevelop and coordinate staff appreciation and recognition programs and initiativesPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisorDesired and Required Characteristics

Bachelor's Degree, requiredTwo (2) years of full life cycle recruitment experience, preferably in the education industryStrong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and Adobe ProExcellent interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of recruitment strategies, and a commitment to delivering a positive candidate experienceAbility to partner and collaborate with hiring managers to ensure an effective recruiting process and positive candidate experience using exceptional interviewing techniquesStrong written and oral communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, social media and marketing skillsBackground check passed, required
