Description
ABOUT THE POSITION:The Human Resources Associate collaborates with the HR team to uphold the organization's mission. This role focuses on onboarding, benefits, recruitment, and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:The Central Office is the non-profit entity that manages the Urban Dove Charter Schools. The CMO provides a wide range of services-including back office functions, accounting, hiring, professional development, data analysis, public relations, advocacy, and more. The CMO is also responsible for providing support structures for the schools and ensuring proper replication of the model as the organization expands.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cultivate relationships with departmental staff.Deliver prompt customer service to organization employees.Address employee requests and inquiries.Manage computer systems data, including attendance tracking.Uphold company culture, mission, and values, ensuring confidentiality.Tackle duties as assigned by the Director of Talent & HR.Engage in recruitment initiatives, including job fairs.Post job advertisements and manage the Applicant Tracking System.Schedule and assist in interviews.Handle employment documentation, including background checks.Set up new employee files and onboarding, including log-ins and workstations.Oversee benefits enrollment and address new employee queriesMonitor vacation and sick time in the system.Manage Worker's Compensation claims and leaves (FMLA, PFML, etc.).Oversee the Return-to-Work Program.Maintain digital employee records, ensuring accuracy.Handle records related to performance reviews, grievances, and disciplinary actions.Conduct file audits for required documentation.Process termination paperwork and assist in exit interviews.Requirements
Bachelor's Degree preferred.3-5 years HR experience desired.Aptitude for learning new tech systems.Strong multitasking and quality-focused abilities.Alignment with UD Team mission and values: Teamwork, Leadership, and Communication.Team player with excellent communication skills.High-level customer service proficiency.Organized with an ability to manage projects and deadlines.Proactive awareness of potential challenges and adeptness in problem-solving.Analytical mindset geared towards continuous improvement.Skilled in event planning and management.Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suites.Flexible and ready to contribute wherever needed.
