Job Summary:
Primary responsibilities of this position will be loan administration, portfolio management, and basic assistance in credit underwriting for Fargo Commercial Banking Team and the Business Development Officers. This individual must possess the technical skills needed to assist in underwriting, documentation, and administration of a commercial loan portfolio.
Primary Duties:
For the Fargo area portfolio, assist the collection of past due financial ticklers, annual reviews and covenant compliance to ensure adherence to the business banking loan agreements.For the Fargo area portfolio, monitor documentation ticklers to ensure all required items have been collected.Assist with the preparation and/or review of litmus presentations, loan committee presentations, annual credit reviews and problem loan summaries.Analyze and coordinate spreading of financial statements for existing and potential new clients and/or supervise one or more financial analysts doing the same.Develop and maintain client/portfolio trend reports.Assist in administration of nonperforming loans.Support key strategic relationships inside and outside of Bell Bank.Work closely with Team Leader to establish and negotiate, where necessary, terms under which the credit could be structured, including the costs, repayment methods, and collateral requirements.Provide unequaled customer service to commercial deposit and loan customers.Serve as backup in the oversight of daily overdrafts and any subsequent collection.Provide support with the Small Business Lending Program, including taking referrals and originating loans within parameters of the Loan Policy.Understand and adhere to the Bell Bank lending guidelines.Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible.Know and practice LOCBUTN, our Golden Rules, and Bell Bank Customer Service Standards.Know, understand, and live the company values and bottom line.Perform other duties as assignedJob Skills Required:
Three years + prior experience in credit, lending, or commercial bankingWorking knowledge of loan documentation.Above-average written and communication skills.Proficiency with computer technology.Ability to deal with multiple tasks and deadlines.Effective time management and organizational skills.
