Description
Responsible for maintaining documentation and performing a variety of administrative support related to documentation, processing, and closing loans. Conducts research on all loan types and makes necessary adjustments for tracking purposes. Performs all responsibilities in accordance with federal/state regulations and credit union policies/procedures.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Develops and maintains positive relationships with members and coworkers;Provides timely and accurate administrative support to branch personal including updating loan data in the system and verifying information on loans;Process and discharge accurate lien filings;Track and ensure member's escrow is paid and the annual analysis is completed;Service and update insurance policies for member loans;Accurately perform quality control on member loans;Provide payoff amounts and process payoff checks appropriately;Submit insurance claims for members;Perform necessary servicing to member loans;Establish repayment and interest schedule based upon loan guidelines and rates;Provides outstanding member service, solves member issues or escalates appropriately;Consistently review and recommend changes to improve workflow, efficiencies, and quality;Provide backup support and assist in all areas of lending as necessary;Conducts testing on system releases and upgrades;Assist in reviewing and updating lending policies and procedures;Assist in training new employees; andPerform additional duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
Experience
Preferred 2 or more years in loan servicing or processing, has knowledge of credit reporting, escrow analysis and loan insurance products.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
College degree or work experience equivalent required to be able to communicate orally and in writing at a level which reflects such learning.
Interpersonal Skills
Must be able to effectively supervise, evaluate, and train employees. Must be able to work with other departments.
