We are looking for an experienced Senior C++ Software Engineer in our Self Driving Architecture Team. You will have the opportunities to impact all teams across autonomy: authoring libraries, improving system performance and mentoring junior developers etc. This will be a great opportunity for experienced C++ developers to get into the self-driving industry, and understand the entire tech stack.

Responsibilities
:Analyze, architect, design and implement software solutions to meet business needs.Build performance-critical frameworks, reusable libraries, and components in modern C++ that are foundational to our autonomy stack.Author libraries, debug and resolve issues in all environments including production.Analyze software architecture, identify bottlenecks and collaborate with other teams to fix these bottlenecks.Collaborate with colleagues across autonomy teams on algorithm, designs, and architectures.Coach and mentor junior developers about software practices.Required

Passion for modern C++A degree in computer science or STEM field5+ years of industry experience on C++ developmentStrong expertise in writing modern and production quality c++ code and setting standard for code quality across engineering teamsExperience in developing C++ librariesStrong background in data structures, algorithms and OOP/FP/MPExcellent communication skillsPreferred Qualifications

Experience in low-latency system environment, high-performance computingExperience in safety-critical programmingExperience in build system is a plusProven expertise in Bazel Remote Cache and Remote ExecutionProficiency in writing custom Bazel rules and extensions using StarlarkExperience working with ROS or other robotics frameworksExperience in message passing middle-ware is a plusWhat do we provide:

The base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000-$300,000, in addition to bonus, equity and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
