Job DescriptionIn This Role, You Will:Become a member of a collaborative, supportive, and team-based service with several transplant nephrologists and advanced practice providers. We offer an exciting and complex patient mix of transplant patients.Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of care to patients within a multidisciplinary framework caring for pre and post kidney and pancreas transplant patients.Specialize in Transplant Nephrology and work primarily in an inpatient setting at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center with some work in the clinic at the M Health Fairview Clinics and Surgery Center.Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and health care needs. Practice independently and collaborate with physicians (as needed), and make appropriate referrals for evaluation or treatment.Be provided with educational opportunities in an academic setting.Schedule:1.0 FTE (40 hours/week)Monday - Friday, day hoursWeekend shifts, approximately 8 weekends/year. Will receive equivalent time off during the week for the weekend coverage. No night call.We're Looking for a PA or NP Who Is:A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program.Eligible or is certified through NCCPA, ANCC or AANP.Licensed or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or licensed or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (NP's).Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.What Could Set You Apart?Experience as a NP or PA in an advanced specialty working in a direct patient care role that uses advanced practice skills.Experience in nephrology and/or transplant as a nurse, NP or PA.What We OfferWe're proud to offer competitive salary and a market leading benefits package to support our employees and their families.
