a Generations Healthcare facility is in search of a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary:

The primary role of the Maintenance Supervisor is to assist in supervising the day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Director of Maintenance, to assure that our facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.

Essential Duties (include but are not limited to):

• Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of supervising maintenance tasks.

• Supervise the day-to-day maintenance functions of assigned personnel.

• Assist the director in setting maintenance standards.

• Assist in developing procedures for performing daily maintenance tasks.

• Assist the director in standardizing the methods in which work is accomplished.

• Assist the director in scheduling work assignments, preparing work schedules, etc. Revise as necessary.

• Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing maintenance assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.

• Ensure that work schedules are followed as closely as practical.

• Report and submit incident/injury reports to the director of staff development immediately.

• Perform administrative requirements (i.e., completing necessary forms, reports, etc.) and submit to the director as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.

• Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years of experience in a maintenance department in a health-related facility.

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

• Must be knowledgeable of maintenance practices and procedures in nursing care facilities.

• Must possess leadership ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.

• Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the Maintenance Department.
