General Manager.
This position reports to the President of Marine and will work in Pompano Beach, FL.
As
General Manager
of the Pompano team, you will be involved in the operational and financial performance of the Pompano facility, Engineering and Manufacturing environment where client needs can be complex and time sensitive.
General ResponsibilitiesIncrease management's effectiveness by communicating values, strategies, and objectives.Set companywide objectives, assign accountabilities, plan, monitor, and evaluate performance whiletracking results.Develop a strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities; presentingassumptions; recommending objectives.Accomplish objectives by establishing plans, budgets and results; allocate resources, reviewprogress and make mid-course corrections.Present at weekly Ops call with divisional weekly soft close reviewing Sales, variances, margins,profit, AR, AP, Inventory and headcount. Present actions when missing plan.Monitor the operating and financial results against plans and budgets with Staff and GroupManagement monthly via the commercial reporting package. (CRP)Implement contingencies and report up when objectives are not being met.Develop strategic operating plans that reflect the longer-term objectives and priorities established bythe Vice President/GM.Coordinate efforts by establishing procurement, production, marketing,field and technical services policies and practices.Facilitate Engineering Objectives and New Product pipeline, communicate company wide.Ensure operations functions and executes its tasks within defined quality, safety, environmental, andsocial responsibilities and accountabilities.Drive accountability for operating objectives and ensure standards of performance are not onlyunderstood but owned by management and all employees.Build the company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations,and employees, enforcing ethical business practices.Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and collaborating Dometic Marine facilities.Maintain quality services by establishing and enforcing organizational standards.Complete additional job duties and assignments up to 15% of the time.What do we offer?

The ideal candidate for this role will bring demonstrated success in an operational, engineering, and manufacturing environment. Additionally, they will have acquired the following qualifications and experiences:
An undergraduate degree in Engineering, Operations or Finance is required; Master's degree is anasset.A minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of engineering and manufacturing in a managementrole.A Minimum 5 years of experience in a management position with P&L responsibilities.Experience implementing and improving plant safety (EHS).Experience in the development of annual and long-range operational plans and budgetmanagement are necessary; must have strong financial and operational acumen.To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics:
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Is fact based, hands-on and solicits broadinput but makes rapid, sound decisions.Strong understanding of Manufacturing and Engineering processes.Ability to see Market change and progression and relate it back to the success of the business.Strong ability to provide business leadership with regards to changing technology and customerbase.Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to manage a variety of tasks.Strong proficiency with MS Office programs including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook andPowerPoint; and the ability to learn other applications quickly.Excellent execution and performance management skills.
