CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULER- McKINNEY, TXOur Client has the immediate need for an established Construction Scheduler to join their team based in the far North Dallas area.
What we are seeking:
7-10 years serving in a construction operations role creating baselines and maintaining construction schedulesEducation
Bachelors in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering, or commensurate experience
Summary
The Construction Scheduler utilizes exceptional organization and communication skills to create, share & explain construction project schedules to other team members. They will spend ample time reviewing data, understanding market trends, creating baseline schedules, and working with our team members to train and update project schedules to match the current status of the build.
Primary Responsibilities Required Skills/Expectations
Ultimate responsibility of construction schedulesWork directly with marketing to produce initial baseline schedules for project pursuitsParticipate in project's pre-construction phase, advising on all constructability timelinesSpot project risks and include impact analysis for review by project teamGenerate buy-in with subcontractors by participating in preconstruction meetings with everylarge-scale subcontractor to review scope and set expectations for timelinesVisit project sites to walk the job and coordinate schedules with project team as determined by managementCollaborate with project teams to update project schedules (to include tracking delays)Support team to develop short term construction schedule ("3 week look-ahead")Train project team in scheduling theory and the building and maintenance of schedulesTrack critical activities and changes to the critical path impacting the projectEducate the team on utilizing the project schedule as a tool to hold team, subcontractors, and owners accountable for decision makingAssist project teams with generation of fragment schedules for submission with extension requestProvide a summary and report on project progress to executive teamHost postmortem on final schedule to review data trends and next steps for improvement on futureprojectsAdvise and assist in development of company scheduling policyUnderstand, implement & uphold procedures and processesExpert knowledge of assigned plans and specsExperience with critical path method of schedulingWorking knowledge of all tradesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsOpen, honest, and frequent communicationStrong collaborative and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of critical path method (CPM) schedulingTime-management skills and the ability to meet deadlinesSolid analytical skills to collect and interpret dataProficiency in understanding blueprints and contractsOutstanding decision-making skillsForward thinker, proactive solution-finderCalm, professional demeanorKeen attention to detail
Technology Experience:
Proficient in Microsoft Project (scheduling software)Use submittal tracking software and logsUtilize PlanGrid Software for plan review
Compensation Package:$80-120,000 Base Salary (dependent on experience)5% Bonus Opportunity$900/monthly Vehicle allowance7% Match on 401K
