This clinical leadership position is responsible for the provision of effective operations, education, management, and leadership of the Hospice program and staff in the Brunswick area. The Nurse Manager - Hospice leads, guides, supports, and directs staff to provide highly reliable, evidence-based, patient-family centered quality care for terminally ill patients of all ages in their homes.
The Nurse Manager position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the MaineHealth CHANS Hospice program. We are seeking a team member which is collaborative, innovative, and leads with integrity. The ideal candidate would have experience in Hospice and a passion for serving the community. Experience or background in quality and safety a plus.
Demonstrates commitment to agency's goals and to the organization's mission, vision, and values. Acts as an advocate of patients and families needing home care services and oversees the patient experience and outcomes of home health care.
Summary:Manages the patient and employee activities of the Skilled Nursing or Hospice department under the direction of the Senior Director of Clinical Services. Demonstrates commitment to agency's goals and to the organization's mission, vision, and values. Acts as an advocate of patients and families needing home care services and oversees the patient experience and outcomes of home health care.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1. Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing is preferred, or comparable years of management/leadership experience required along with minimum of ADN.
2. License/Certifications: Currently licensed as an RN in the state of Maine
3. Experience: Experience working in Home Health or Hospice. 3 Years of Leadership experience preferredAdditional Information
