Director of Hospice Services - RN
Constellation Health Services is seeking a Director of Hospice who will be responsible for the overall direction of our hospice program. The Director will be responsible for the employment of qualified hospice personnel; is responsible for the provision of hospice services, directly, and through the delegation of and coordination of hospice personnel evaluations; is responsible for establishing standards of care to comply with federal and state regulations and guidelines. The Director of Clinical Services establishes, implements and evaluates goals and objectives for hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited RN program.The employee has the required licensure, education, training, and qualifications required by rule, regulation, law and/or statute to qualify for the role in their state.Previous home care/hospice preferred but not required.Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in health care management.Demonstrates an ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.Has an ability to deal tactfully with the community.Has knowledge of corporate business management.Understands hospice care and the services provided to patients and family/caregiver through an interdisciplinary group.Intimate knowledge of Medicare Hospice Certification.Responsibilities:
Develops, implements and evaluates the Hospice goals and objectives in alignment with the organization's strategic direction.Develops and implements required Hospice policies and procedures to ensure identified outcomesEnsures organizational compliance with legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements.Ensures services provided by other agencies are authorized by hospice.Monitors operational progress toward accomplishing operational and strategic goals.Oversees the Hospice QAPI Plan and ensures compliance with all aspects of the program.The incumbent may be requested to perform other job-related tasks as directed by the Administrator.Will perform other duties as assigned.Develops implements and manages the Hospice budget.Monitors business operations to insure financial stability.Evaluates hospice services and personnel using measurable outcomes and objectives.Works with Billing and collections department to resolve hospice billing issuesEnsures appropriate data collection and regular, complete reports are received by the Governing Body.Ensures adequate space, equipment and supplies are available.Ensures actionable objectives are derived from evaluation of hospice services and personnel.Ensures that structure and systems promote interdisciplinary care.What We Offer:
