What you will do:
The Senior Manager of Supply Chain and CapEx Procurement will lead efforts in capital expenditures (CapEx) planning, strategic sourcing, and supply chain operations for all major equipment and services in the company. This role focuses on the procurement of capital-intensive projects and aims to ensure that the organization's strategic goals are met by optimizing cost, efficiency, and supplier relationships.
Responsibilities include:Lead the procurement process for all major capital projects, including plant expansions, equipment purchases, and new installationsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to define CapEx project requirements, timelines, and budgetsEvaluate proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure that CapEx projects stay within budget and on scheduleDevelop and implement sourcing strategies for capital goods and services that align with the company's goals and objectivesIdentify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for critical components and servicesFoster strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and innovationOversee procurement activities for capital equipment, materials, and services in line with organizational requirementsDrive process improvements to streamline procurement, ensure compliance, and reduce risk throughout the supply chainManage contract negotiations, including terms, pricing, and delivery schedules, ensuring that contracts deliver value and protect the organization's interestsWork closely with project management, engineering, finance, legal, quality, and operations teams to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and procurement activitiesSupport project teams with supply chain insight and risk mitigation strategies during the project lifecycleAnalyze spending data and identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk reductionManage supply chain risks by implementing supplier contingency plans, mitigating exposure to market volatility and assisting in demand planningLead a team of supply chain and procurement professionals, providing guidance, training, and development to ensure high performanceEstablish KPIs and metrics to track both team and supplier performanceRead, understand, and comply with all workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices, and company policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assigned by supervisorWhat we need you to bring to the team:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or related or equivalent work experience12+ years of industry experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with at lease 5 years focused on CapEx (excludes internships, co-ops, and other school projects)5+ years in a management or leadership roleStrong knowledge of capital projects, equipment procurement, and contract negotiationExperience in the manufacturing, industrial, energy, or related sectorsDemonstrated leadership and team management skillsExcellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilitiesStrong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and drive cost efficienciesProficiency with procurement and ERP systemsAbility to manage multiple priorities, exhibit a sense of urgency, and maintain equilibrium in a fast-moving and changing startup environmentStrong analytical skills, with a focus on data-driven decision makingProficiency with, or ability to quickly learn, Microsoft Office suite of programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePointWhat we want you to bring to the team:
Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, CPSM, CIPS)13+ years of industry experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years focused on CapEx (excludes internships, co-ops, and other school projects)Strong leadership and decision-making capabilitiesCompensation:
The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $146,000 - $164,000 annually and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.Benefits For You:
