Job Summary
The Plant Manager will provide leadership and direction to ensure the safe, productive, and efficient operation of the facility, pursuant to exceeding customer expectations. Develop and implement internal processes in coordination with our current CPG initiatives, that continuously improve the quality and services provided by the business unit.Job Description
Key Accountabilities:Ensure that all plant employees are working in a safe and productive manner meeting various Operational Excellence metricsManage branch supervisors and daily production goalsDevelop plans and procedures to insure the safety of all employees and visitors of the warehouseEnsure operations and equipment is in compliance to corporate guidelines and OSHA StandardsVerify inventory - make adjustments where necessaryHire, train, motivate, and discipline warehouse employees as required.Schedule and provide training where requiredMaintain equipment to provide maximum availability and minimum down timeEvaluate and recommend new equipment purchases to enhance quality, capabilities and productivityCommunicate and monitor progress towards company safety, returns and allowances, and on time shipment and delivery directivesMonitor quality and process improvement throughout the warehouse using SAP reportsAssist in building and equipment maintenance as neededInsure that preventive and corrective action methods are followed to eliminate or correct procedures and practices which do not meet customer requirementsEnsure adequate support of the sales department and its customers in a timely and orderly mannerAssist with customer problems, including on site visits where necessaryFacilitate lean practices in the plant with an emphasis on meeting and exceeding the prescribed cleaning standards and 6S+ goalsPurchase or direct the purchase of necessary warehouse supplies to insure the ability to comply with written work instructions and customer requirementsAttend regional and corporate meetings when requiredPerform employee reviews as requiredAssist in contract negotiations, where applicableMeets TKMNA Employee Attributes/CompetenciesThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirement for the performance of this job. Bachelor's degree (in a Business, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Behavioral Science curriculum) or relevant work experienceTwo years direct Warehouse Supervision or team leadership, experienceProficiency with Microsoft Project, Office application, Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint a mustAn understanding of Basic Lean Manufacturing PrinciplesSafety MindsetPreferred Requirements:
MBA, Master's degree or Ph.D. is a plusExposure to labor relations, safety programs, ISO standards, Lean practices and sale functions.This individual must also possess good leadership qualities and the ability to build an effective team as well as be an effective team memberBenefits Overview
