Celebrating over 35 years of success and continual growth, ESP Associates is currently seeking a strategic, growth-oriented Transportation professional to join our leadership team.
As the Transportation Director - East Region, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing transportation engineering and/or survey projects, including CEI, and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE). Reporting to the Transportation Business Unit Executive, the Director will initially focus on expanding ESP's transportation services in the Florida market with the opportunity to continue growth initiatives in the Southeast.
As a leader, you will set the pace for ESP's growth in the Florida Transportation market and beyond! You will lead decisions regarding strategy, market penetration, team growth/development, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:The Director will be responsible for all aspects of engineering and/or surveying and geomatics groups (field and office) by providing training, mentoring, technical and administrative guidance and oversight.Manage and oversee all aspects of engineering and/or survey projects and operations, ensuring adherence to project specifications set by FDOT, safety standards, and quality control measures.Leadership and Vision/Strategic Planning for Growth: Develops and maintains relationships with FDOT decision makers, as well as local municipalities, to increase Company exposure and position the Company for engineering, survey, CEI and SUE contracts.Assists in preparing and approving proposals and qualifications statements and may assist with the management of plan production on roadway, streets, highways, and other transportation-related systems and multi-modal projects.Assist Managers with workforce planning, monthly billing, and final review of completed reports and maps.Manage the Transportation Division - East Region to achieve expected profitability and growth.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related degree.Registered Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Professional Surveyor and Mapper license (PSM or PLS) in Florida.Experience performing business development and maintaining relationships with FDOT and local municipality decision makers.Demonstrated success working with FDOT and local municipalities as a prime consultant.Strong leadership, project management, and business development skills.Extensive knowledge of engineering and/or survey and mapping principles, practice standards, procedures and project management.Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills to effectively and professionally interact with team members, clients, governmental review authorities, government officials, and the public.Demonstrated expertise adjusting to priorities and demands from multiple clients and projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, multi-disciplinary environment.Firm understanding of risk management and loss prevention.Superior organizational and planning skills with keen attention to detail.Strong self-motivational and organizational skills with the ability to lead, motivate and direct a team of office and field personnel.Intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office, Teams, SharePoint, and relevant technical software) required.Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving (MVR) policy.Corporate Information:
