Top Secret cleared Data Protection Engineer

Our client, a leading government technology service provider located in Washington, D.C., is currently in need of a Top Secret cleared Storage / Data Protection Engineer for a 6 month contract to hire. The Storage / DP Engineer will work onsite daily, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and upgrading the data protection solutions, as well as ensuring the restoration of virtual machines on each network and each location to meet RPO and RTO timelines. They will help recommend to either stay on current technologies or move to a different enterprise storage platform. The consultant will need to be able to gather requirements, do analysis, and make recommendations.

Required Skills:Active DoD Top Secret clearanceAbility to be work 100% onsite in Washington, DC

The team has flexible start and end hours as long as onsite during the 10-2 window daily

10 or more years of experience across storage and backup solutions with the ability to make recommendations on best path forward for both storage and backup strategy.Expertise with storage administration

Currently running NetApp but open to other vendorsNAS, iSCSI, or other platform for data storage

Experience with data backups and restores

Any backup software is fineDbProtect

Bachelor's degree
