As a

Senior Product Developer , you will be an integral part of managing the seasonal product development process, executing design intent while driving adherence to product fit and performance standards. You will collaborate closely with a team of Designers, Developers, and Product Managers as you create product specifications, manage fit and construction, and provide style oversight from design handoff to commercialization. You will proactively problem-solve to facilitate development solutions that support Free Fly's core end uses and serve consumer needs from die hard to lifestyle perspectives.

Job Tasks and ResponsibilitiesPartner closely with Designers to recommend fit types, blocks, measurement specs and construction standards that support design intent and end use to FF standardsBuild and maintain accurate tech packs, including BOMs and spec sheets while managing the flow and communication to vendors and factory partnersTrack and review all prototypes, sales, and pre-production samples against the tech pack specifications for fit, quality, design accuracy, and functionality; both new, updated, and carry overHelp build and maintain spec sheet and grading standards, ensuring adherence to spec standards and fit categories, prepare spec reports, and guide fit decisions throughout developmentLead cross-functional fit sessions, both on mannequins and live modelsPartner with Design and Raw Materials to accurately build out component and colorway specifications in the BOMPartner with Design, Raw Materials, Sourcing, and PMs to achieve target costing and margin requirementsProactively communicate with vendor partners and contractors during the entire development process, working diligently to manage changes, avoiding costly errors and production delaysMinimum Qualifications

Degree from accredited Apparel Design/Development programMinimum 5-10 years of industry experience in technical design and product developmentTechnical Apparel experience preferredRequired Competencies

Knowledge of technical construction techniques, functional applications, production sewing/manufacturing methods, fabrications, and trimsExpertise in technical design, i.e. fit optimization and troubleshooting, familiarity with grading and patternmakingExperience and understanding of performance materials, technologies, and technical productsEffective communication of style updates, fit corrections, and quality improvements to in-house and factory partnersProven track record of meeting and maintaining schedules and deadlinesAbility to troubleshoot and spot potential production, construction, and fit issuesAbility to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams and across departmentsStrong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize workloadFree Fly is an equal opportunity employer.
