Position Summary

We are searching for a Human Resources Generalist who will will support the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department in partnership with senior HR teammembers to ensure efficient business operations. The Human Resources Generalist will assist with essential HR tasks across all HR functional areas in accordance with company policies and procedures.

The Human Resources Generalist will perform all assigned HR functions demonstrating a high level of customer service and commitment to excellence in the HR Generalist role. Ability to perform work collaboratively as part of a team is essential to success, as is the ability to take ownership of work and complete assigned tasks independently. The HR Generalist will consistently demonstrate the use of tact and discretion.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Answer requests submitted to the HR department on employee questions, concerns, escalating when necessaryAssist with handing investigations and employee performance issues escalating to the appropriate senior team member when necessaryDevelop strong understanding of company policies and procedures, and provide guidance to managers related to company policies and proceduresAssist with ensuring policies and processes are current and resources are properly maintained and communicated to managers and team membersBegin to develop strong relationships at all levels within the organization to understand business needs, making suggestions for enhancements to client serviceDevelop foundational understanding of company benefits, payroll, and recruiting operations, escalate inquiries to appropriate team members and assist with related tasks as neededAssist with coordination and completion of annual compensation surveysAssist with annual compensation and talent management activities, as neededServe as backup to HR Executive Assistant and assist with overflow tasks, as neededCreate and send communications to help educate and provide awareness to employees on important responsibilities and compliance mattersDevelop relationships with all levels within the organization to understand multiple views so appropriate recommendations and suggestions to solutions can be madeDevelop external networking relationships within the HR, Real Estate Investment Management and Property Management communities to understand what peers are doing and share ideas and suggestions with the teamMaintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and protects all confidential informationConduct research and updates human resources practices, policies, and procedures to ensure all are created, maintained, and accurateConfirm information is properly stored on shared drive for team to access and workspace and work habits are organized and detail orientedSupport initiatives to promote a positive work environmentAdditional work as assigned by managementKnowledge/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required with a focus in Human Resources or related fieldAt least two (2) years of experience working in a Human Resources roleAptitude for organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple priorities, using critical thinking and problem solvingDemonstrated multi-modal communication style that reaches every stakeholder, specifically excellent verbal, and written communicationsAbility to communicate with and manage up to senior managementCollaborative working style with inclusive work and thinking behaviors, commitment to excellence in teams and work product, with a strong work ethicDemonstrate emotional intelligence in high pressure and sensitive situationsTenacity, patience, and perseverance to work with business deals from beginning to end of processMaintain confidentiality of sensitive information and communications of informationDevelop productive working relationships with all team members including internal clients and external third partiesDemonstrated high level of ethics and integrity with a straightforward and honest approachTechnical/Educational Requirements:

Strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills requiredExperience with UKG a plusDemonstrated ability to use and learn new technology (e.g., computers/hardware, mobile, software, cloud-based programs)Proficiency with computers, keyboards, monitors and telephone headsets.Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Products (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, Power Point)
