Job Description:
The Field Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for third party supplier management across the automotive supply chain to ensure the logistical needs of the project are met. This role will be responsible for fleet management, vendor management, and process improvement management. The ideal candidate will be willing to travel at a moments notice to assigned vendors and suppliers to problem solve through any encountered delays and ensure that all vehicles process through the production and transport cycle within the pre-set timeline.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSResponsible for national supply chain management related to vehicle procurement, production, andvehicle service providersTravel to assigned suppliers to ensure that all vehicles process through the supply chain within the presettimelineWork with third party suppliers (OEM, equipment suppliers, transport vendors, repair vendors, etc.) to design and implement processes based on client requirementsManage reporting and status updates from third parties in order to provide updates to leadership and to the end clientAnalyze vehicle production throughput for both OEM and third-party equipment suppliers through reporting and on-site visitsIdentify trends and manage exceptions across vendor networkAudit data and provide analysis to all stakeholdersIdentify potential process/production bottlenecks and proactively implement solutionsTravel to and regularly meet with third party supplier management teams to discuss performance to production plans and work through identified areas of opportunityResponsible for working with suppliers to proactively prevent delays & for working through back logs when they do occur (requiring immediate travel to supplier location)Think outside the box to deliver creative solutions when delays present themselves to deliver for our mutual clientsPartner with internal operations teams and collaborate on solutions as neededProvide timely feedback to internal stakeholders related to third party supplier performanceDevelop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, client stakeholders & internal teamsProvide exceptional customer service to fleet drivers by answering and addressing any escalated inquiriesOther DutiesCommunicate with internal stakeholders as neededOther duties and responsibilities as assignedCreate ad-hoc reportingLEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

Work Environment:
This position will be a blended in-office/virtual position in Alpharetta, GA.
Positions Type/Standard Schedule:
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel:
Minimal travel may be required
Physical Demands:
Speak, hear, and see, and to use hand and fingers for computer keyboard and phone. Sit or stand for extended periods of time. Reach above head to pull paper attachments.
