This position is located at the Milliken - Magnolia Plant located in Blacksburg, SC and reports to the Process Improvement Leader. The position is responsible for leading continuous improvement efforts at the site as well as working closely with the Engineering Services Department. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. However, due to continuous operations of the plant, the work schedule may require arriving before 8:00 am, staying beyond 5:00 pm, and participation in the management team weekend rotation schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the process improvement team, including other managers and technical production associates, for their designated departmentDevelop a thorough understanding of the conditions that impact the processes and productsUse sound project management skills to manage multiple improvement projectsAnalyze problems and implement practical solutions using critical thinking skillsIncorporate creative thinking to problem solving to identify unique and different ways to make things better/more consistent/faster/cheaper/efficientPrepare presentations, charts, tables to reflect findings and support recommendationsCommunicate effectively with a diverse group of associatesStrive to develop all direct reportsWork effectively with a diverse group of associates to accomplish project and location goalsParticipate fully in the Safety ProcessQualifications Required:
10 years manufacturing experienceAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and meet deadlinesProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, SAP, and PowerPointAbility to develop and mentor team membersQualifications Preferred:
Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil Engineering majorPrevious process reliability experienceThe successful candidate will demonstrate strengths in the following:
