What You'll Do
Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liability while ensuring compliance with laws and regulationsOversee the preparation and filing of all corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timelinessManage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and government agenciesProvide guidance and support to internal teams on tax implications of business decisions and transactionsStay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, and assess their impact on the companyLead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and fostering their professional developmentCollaborate with finance, legal, and other departments to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisionsParticipate in strategic financial planning and provide insights on tax implications of potential business opportunitiesYou
Have received a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or advanced degree (e.g., MST, LLM) preferredDemonstrate proven experience in corporate tax, with a minimum of 7-10 years in a leadership roleHave in-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirementsPossess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategicallyDemonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a track record of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teamsHave demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with a focus on mentoring and developing talentAre able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectivelyHave exceptional accounting, analytical and research skillsHave 3-5+ years of related experience in public accounting or in the internal tax department of a US multi-state corporationDemonstrate strong project management skills, including working on multiple projects concurrentlyPossess practical knowledge of indirect tax compliance and planning for international regionsNice to Have
A knowledge of Sales Tax compliance and Accounts Payable processes preferredPreference for someone with VAT experienceVAT accountant provides basic VAT related advice and support to finance operations and sales teams for each European country; advise on VAT implications of new business activities such as new customer or supplier programsExperience in the machine learning or computer hardware industrySalary Range Information
Based on market data and other factors, the salary range for this position is $200,000-$235,000. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
