Position:
Skills Trainer for Project SEARCH
Description : Provide individualized support for Project SEARCH interns during rotations at host businesses (Monument Health and others) to help them acquire competitive and marketable skills. Coordinate with Project SEARCH Instructor, Project SEARCH Employment Specialist, and host business staff to implement training strategies and develop diverse internship sites. Understand and convey host business culture, rules, and expectations to interns. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including instructors, trainers, managers, mentors, co-workers, family members, and agency personnel. Monitor intern progress, provide feedback, and offer travel training. Address issues affecting intern success and complete necessary paperwork and data entry. Transportation of interns is sometimes required.
Qualifications:
Work experience with people with disabilities is preferred.
Salary:
$18.00/hour - less than 20 hours/week
Schedule:
Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 9-month position, September 1 - May 30
Selection Process:
Candidates will be reviewed, with some selected to be interviewed. The position will be open until filled.
